Cancer Aid App helping customers on their recovery journey

9th September

Earlier in the year we partnered with Munich Re to bring the Cancer Aid app to our customers. It is a new and progressive rehabilitation tool geared towards helping customers on their recovery journey. All customers on claim have access to this app.
The Cancer Aid app provides education and support to customers experiencing cancer. The app allows customers to share symptoms with treating practitioners, boosting the likelihood of a customer recovering and returning to work.
The Cancer Aid app was founded by two oncologists, and is designed to help our customers take control over physical and psychological side effects from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and during recovery.

The app lets our customers on claim
• Keep track of their diagnostic and treatment information
• Access medically reliable information to learn more about their condition
• Track and manage side effects
• Nominate their care team
• Gain access to a motivational community, all in one place
• 1-1 support from a Cancer Aid Program Heath Coach

Lauren Somers, Recover Claims Team leader says “helping our customers with this additional service has been a tremendous boost to our engagement with them. With so many of our customer claims related to cancer it is a benefit we can provide them”.
Below are some recent customer testimonials on the app.

“It has been very beneficial information; I often sit here and sift through and read the information and articles in the app. I’m very happy with the program and so very glad I was taken on. I was quite impressed with the information and resources and the chats have been so nice.”
"I think this program would be fantastic for those who have just had surgery or just gone through treatment. This program provides great direction and support."
For any advisers who have customers currently on claim for cancer, please remind them about this additional support via the Cancer Aid app.
