Transitioning to Acenda Life

As we build our businesses across Australia and New Zealand, we’re coming together under the Acenda Life brand from 2027, subject to regulatory approval. This is part of our broader plans to simplify our structure, create a more consistent experience for customers, advisers and partners, and support our long-term growth across Australia and New Zealand.  

There is no immediate change to how you or your clients work with us, and no action is required.  

The first step in our transition to Acenda Life is a proposed separation of one of our existing statutory funds, which currently contains assets supporting some of our policy owners in Australia and all our New Zealand policyholders.  

This will remove unnecessary complexity from our business and ensure assets are clearly set aside to support the relevant policy owners in each country.  

This step is subject to regulatory approval, and we’ll soon be writing to relevant Resolution Life Australia customers and Resolution Life New Zealand customers whose policies are included in the statutory fund to explain the proposal and invite their feedback.  

Our existing Statutory Fund No. 1 will retain the assets supporting Australian policies, and a new Statutory Fund No. 5 will be established to hold the assets supporting New Zealand policies.  

At the same time, we’ll let your clients know about our plans to become Acenda Life in 2027.

We’ll also write to you with more detail so you can answer any questions your clients may have.

No more digging through information or waiting on requests - you can now quickly and securely download a comprehensive plan summary for your clients, all in one place. Depending on the product, it can include:  

  • Product details  
  • Insurance details  
  • Investment details  
  • Premium details  
  • Payment details  
  • Adviser details  
     

How do I access the plan summary?  

It’s easy! You can access it in 3 easy steps:  

  1. Log in to My Resolution Life
  2. Search by ‘Client Policy Number’, enter the policy number into the box and click ‘Search’. In ‘Customer Search’ click on the ‘+’ then click ’View Policy‘
  3. From the left navigation, select ‘Documents & Forms’ and then ‘Plan Summary’ to automatically download the plan summary.  
     

Which products is the plan summary available for?  

Plan summaries are available for most products, with a few exceptions:  

  • Lifestream Guaranteed Income  
  • Tailored Annuity Plan  

It’s important to note that any recent changes may not reflect in the plan summary.

Authority forms – moving to annual updates

From July 2026 we’re updating how we collect information to support ongoing Income Protection claim assessments, with a greater focus on phone-based engagement.

This means,  

  • we’ll speak more directly with clients (and, where needed, their treating health professionals) to gather information relevant to ongoing claim assessments
  • this can reduce paperwork and speed up ongoing claim assessments and benefit payments.

As part of this change, we’ll now request updated authority forms annually to ensure client consent remains current.

  • Faster access to information to support timely claim assessments and benefit decisions  
  • Clearer consent processes aligned with industry standards
