    Tim has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry with an extensive background across distribution, M&A, strategy, reinsurance, product, pricing, marketing, strategy and government relations. In his previous role at Avant Mutual as the CEO of Medical Indemnity he led the largest medical indemnity insurer in Australia with 52% marketshare and delivered record growth and retention levels.

    During his time at AIA as the CEO of AIA Health Insurance he grew the fund 10x in premium within 2 years and established AIA Health as top 5 for net growth. Prior to this he successfully led the $3.8b acquisition and integration of the Commonwealth Bank’s life insurance businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

    Tim also led the product, business development, pricing and marketing teams, as well as leading the global team to successfully launch the world’s leading health & wellness program Vitality in Australia, in his former role as Chief Marketing Officer at AIA. Tim is the former Director of the Financial Services Council Life Insurance sub-committee and in 2015 was voted in the top 25 Chief Marketing Officers in Australia by CMO magazine, with his contribution to the industry being recognised in 2016 by being voted “Asia’s Best Marketer” by CMO Asia.

    Bachelor of Business Studies and Master of Art from Trinity College Dublin, Graduate Management Qualification from AGSM, and is an alumni of Harvard Business School CFO leadership program, Fellow of the Australian and England & Wales Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Yvonne is the Chief Financial Officer for Resolution Life Australasia and has over twenty-five years commercial experience spanning across Financial Services, Property and Oil sectors, both in Australia and internationally.   

    Prior to Resolution Life, Yvonne held several CFO roles in the Westpac Banking Group. Yvonne has a strong interest in education and development and serves as a member of the Loreto Kirribilli School Board and is the Chair of the Ireland Funds Australia. Yvonne is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and is privileged to sit on the Provosts Council for the last 5 years.

  • Peter Histon

    Chief Information Officer

    Peter has over 20 years’ experience in technology leadership and has held roles in established financial services organisations, start-ups, consulting firms and software vendors in Australia and the United Kingdom. Peter is currently the Chief Information Officer, Resolution Life Australasia, accountable for all technology, data and analytics capabilities. Peter has led the operational separation of Resolution Life Australasia from AMP Group is leading the operational integration of AIA Australia’s Super and Investments business. Peter has played a key role in driving Resolution Life’s digital transformation program with the rollout of initiatives such as the enhanced customer portal, simplified claims handling processes and move to a cloud only technology operating model. Prior to Resolution Life, Peter was Chief Technology Officer for AMP Life and held a variety of senior leadership roles at AMP across Technology and Operations. Peter holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering (Hons 1st class) from UNSW, majoring in Artificial Intelligence.

  • Karen Malzard

    Chief Risk Officer

    As the Chief Risk Officer to Resolution Life Australasia, Karen Malzard leads the Risk and Legal team of Resolution Life. 

    Karen has extensive executive experience in the wealth sector of the finance industry, where she has worked in senior roles in various areas such as superannuation platforms, product, projects, strategy, finance and risk. Before, Karen held senior executive roles in different functions at Zurich Financial Services and BT Portfolios Services, and most recently as the CRO, Wealth at ANZ Bank.    

    Karen has a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. She is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

  • John Lucey

    Chief Investment Officer

    John is the Chief Investment Officer for Resolution Life Australasia. In his role, John is accountable for the overall investment strategy and management of RLA’s (~A$30bn) investment portfolios, optimising returns in line with risk appetite, liability profile and capital requirements. John has over 25 years’ experience in financial services both overseas and in Australia.  Most recently, John held the Chief Investment Officer role at Avant Mutual Group.   

    Prior to that, John spent more than 12 years working for ING Investment Management and later ANZ Wealth managing diversified portfolios across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. John also spent time at Bank of Ireland Asset Management in Dublin as a portfolio manager. John holds a Masters of Applied Finance degree from Macquarie University, Sydney, a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance from University College Cork (Ireland) and is a fully qualified ACMA accountant.

  • Tara Wilson

    Acting Chief HR Officer

    Tara is the acting Chief HR Officer and Chapter Lead of Resolution Life Australasia. In her current role, Tara is responsible for leading RLA’s HR team to deliver and support the full end to end employee lifecycle and culture, including talent management, organisational capability & development, compensation & benefits, employee relations and HR operations. Prior to Resolution Life, Tara built up 18 years of experience in a range of HR and leadership roles, in industries ranging from Manufacturing, Engineering and Telco, in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.   

  • Lisa Hayes

    General Counsel & Company Secretary

    Lisa is General Counsel and Company Secretary and leads the Legal and Governance Chapter of Resolution Life Australasia. She has over 25 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer and senior executive in the financial services and insurance industry sectors and has previously held senior positions including Chief Risk Officer across well-known financial services businesses such as Integrity Life, Centric Wealth and Perpetual Limited.    

    Lisa is an experienced commercial and insurance litigator, previously acting for banks, companies and insurers whilst in private practice and has successfully led legal, risk and compliance teams in both start-up and established financial services providers in the Australian market. 

    As well as being admitted as a practicing solicitor in New South Wales, Lisa holds a Diploma in Law from the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.

    Dean is the Chief Product & Marketing Officer for Resolution Life Australasia, accountable for our long-term product and marketing strategy, customer retention, growth, the strategic management of financial adviser relationships and key channel partnerships.  

    Dean has over 15 years’ experience in the life insurance, reinsurance, and superannuation industry across multidisciplinary functions (sales, partnerships, strategy, product and operations) working in Australia and overseas. Prior to joining Resolution Life Australasia in 2022, Dean held various leadership roles at MetLife Australia, Swiss Re and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia   

    Dean holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Management from the Macquarie University, Sydney (MGSM)

  • Amy Greenaway

    Chief Human Resources Officer & Chief of Staff

    RESOLUTION LIFE

    Masters of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations; Bachelor of Music.

    Amy is accountable for Resolution Life’s Human Resources, Agile and Corporate Services functions encompassing strategy, Corporate Affairs, Office of the CEO, Company Secretariat, Strategy Sourcing, Human Resources, Change Management and Agile operating model.

    Amy has held a variety of roles in Financial Services, Media & Entertainment, Professional Services and Consulting across Australia and the United States of America.

    Prior to Resolution Life, Amy was a Director in People and Change at KPMG Australia, specialising in Financial Services.
